- Description: Hold precision parts in place without a clamp while machining. Heat-activated compound bonds to steel, aluminum, glass, wood, and most plastics. Ideal for thin and hard-to-hold parts, it allows for machining on five sides of the workpiece. Compound is coated on a 0.0005" thick release liner and has a holding force of 40 psi. To use, apply compound and position the part. Heat the part to 180° -200° F; when finished, reheat to 180° -200° F to release the part. Can be used with a water-based coolant and cleans up easily with rubbing alcohol.
