The flatness on the datasheet is the stability, and at 0-30 dB of attenuation there is a flatness of +- 1.2 dB (which is not good). We also checked into a digital attenuator (part number DAT-14-482/1S), but it has the same specifications as the voltage controlled attenuator.

- A Linearized voltage controlled attenuator is controlled by 0 to +8VDC @ 4dB/Volt for 32 dB attenuator, a 64dB attenuator is @ 8dB/volt -LINEAR 2. An attenuator without a linearizer has a voltage swing of 0 to +8VDC. NON LINEAR. Both units are monotonic. At 8VDC you will be at max. attenuation. At 0VDC you will be at insertion loss. 3. The one with the linearizer cost more. 4. Yes, we can optimized our 2-8GHz unit to your required freq. B/W.
